Why I Love the Internet, Part MMMCXXXIV
On the way in to work this morning, I heard about Senator Chris Dodd's announcement that he'll run for the Democratic nomination for president in '08. How nice for him, I thought. He hasn't got a snowball's chance in hell of getting the nod, but it'll be a nice break for him from the rigors of the Senate. And who knows? This could put him in the running for the Veepstakes.
Firing up my browser at the office, I saw a link to the AP story about Dodd on my My Way page. Realizing that his relatively low profile means the average American probably couldn't pick Chris Dodd out of a line-up, I hoped for his sake that the story included a picture of him. Curious, I clicked the link to check.
As happens with so many of the news aggregators (I'm looking at you, Google News), My Way occasionally will have a mismatch between news subject and the accompanying photo. Sadly for Senator Dodd, this story was one of those cases.
Here's what I saw:

Yeah. Not the way you want your presidential bid to start. I think I may have overestimated his chances.
