I love me the unintentionally funny headlines. This one caught my eye today:
Crowded House return official My first thought when I saw that? "Crowded House is now a criminal gang?!? I know times must be tough for an 80s band trying to make a living, but I can't believe they've turned to kidnapping! I wonder who they held hostage..."
Nothing that dramatic, it turns out; just the band getting back together, announcing tour and album plans.
So while I was wrong about the meaning of the headline, at least I got a cool mini-movie out of it (even if it'll only ever run inside my own head). I pictured some random mid-aged New Zealander, let's say the Minister of Finance, disshevled but otherwise none the worse for wear, embracing his crying family.
The music playing under this scene? "Don't Dream It's Over," naturally.
