Several years in the making, Eric Idle's Spamalot, the musical version of Monty Python and the Holy Grail, is nearly upon us.
While this is great news in and of itself, there's the potential for something even greater to come out of this. The other surviving members of the troupe - John Cleese, Michael Palin, Terry Jones and Terry Gilliam - all will be joining Idle on Thursday when the play has its official Broadway opening. And there's talk this reunion might just spawn a new Python project.
Usually I'm not in favor of these kinds of reunions, but we're talking about Monty Python here. If anybody can reunite and live up to their glory days, it's these guys.
Start the prayer circles now.
