Because you (by which I mean I) demanded it, here are my 2005 Oscar picks:

Best Picture: Million Dollar Baby
Best Director: Martin Scorsese, The Aviator
Best Actress: Hilary Swank, Million Dollar Baby
Best Actor: Jamie Foxx, Ray
Best Supporting Actress: Virginia Madsen, Sideways
Best Supporting Actor: Morgan Freeman, Million Dollar Baby
Best Adapted Screenplay: Sideways
Best Original Screenplay: Hotel Rwanda
Best Animated Feature Film: The Incredibles

I'm feeling particularly secure these picks. I don't expect a lot of surprises. If I'm wrong on more than two of the above, I'll be shocked.

I can't believe I'm actually posting this with more than two days to spare. This may be a record; I'm usually furiously typing this out as the opening credits roll.
