Life and work have just been too busy for words of late. I could really use a little vacation. If I were a Navy man or a big Star Trek geek, I'd say I need shore leave.
Wait a minute. I am a big Star Trek geek! And as luck and flimsily-premised blog entries would have it, I can go on shore leave this weekend. Or more correctly, I can go to Shore Leave. The Shore Leave 26 science fiction and fantasy convention, to be precise.
It promises to be two days of fanboy fun, especially when you consider that the great Clint Howard will be a guest. Yes, the Clint Howard!
And given the three guys with whom I'll be attending this shindig, the standard convention experience will be paired with several hours of poker and perhaps an adult beverage or two.
It should be a great, relaxing time. Just what Doctors McCoy, Crusher, Bashir and Phlox ordered.
